After moving to Colorado (via the US Army), we decided to buy our first house. We fell in love with a split tri-level home with a basement. Yep that’s 4 levels of living space! We’ve been living in very small spaces ever since we got married. For the first time in our lives we didn’t have “too much stuff” but rather not enough stuff! Four years in and we once again have too much stuff! This page is dedicated to sharing my adventures in making this house ours. I have spent the past four years designing each room. I was able to get some of the rooms done all at once, but most of them are still under construction. Hopefully they will be done just in time for the Army to move us once again.
Take a Tour of our home:
*Some rooms have changed, but updates will be posted in the blog.
Our home is a tri-level 3 bedroom/3 bath home with an optional bedroom in the basement.
The main level features an “entryway” with large coat closet, a formal living room, formal dining room, and an eat-in kitchen.

The upper level houses two bedrooms and one bath plus the master bedroom with ensuite (4 pc. bathroom).

The lower level is the family room with french doors that lead to the backyard and a door to the garage.
Because I hate the way this room looks (even though I painted the red wall to match a brown sofa–brown and blue go together right?) I refuse to take pics until I am ready to do some work in here. So please enjoy the snapshot that I took with my phone the day we first viewed the home.

The basement is very large and contains a main room with a large storage closet, an option 3rd room that is currently the office/guest room, and a bathroom/laundry room.
I don’t have many pictures of the main basement area, but here a few to get an idea.

I hope you will enjoy each and every post about my adventures in interior decorating on a budget (that I’ve blown more than once!).
